I have just added a list of the traders and games that will be at Hammerhead 2012.

For to various reasons, but mostly the expense of the current venue and reduced member attendance, from 9th January 2012 COGS will be meeting at a new venue. This will NOT be the Winding Wheel as previously advertised, but will be the Parish Centre at Stonegravels.

Due to an administration error at the post office, the COGS PO Box address has been closed since early October 2011. According to the post office it is entirely possible that any mail sent to the PO Box during mid/late September up to mid November has been retuned to the sender. The post office have lost all record of the account ever being used, which means that the PO Box is not now accessible, cannot be reopened and will no longer be in use.

Any traders or clubs who may have sent mail to us during the time frame indicated to return booking forms and/or payments for Hammerhead 2012 will need to contact us again to make sure that your payment/booking form has been received and that your booking is registered. Please note that if you have not as yet received an acknowledgement for you payment or booking, then you should contact Anthony Barnes, awb1@btinternet.com at your earliest convenience, make sure that you provide details of your booking and company/club name etc etc. You will be sent a new booking form if required and an alternate address to send the replacement booking forms or payments too.

We apologise for any inconvenient caused, unfortunately this situation is completely out of our control, however will do our utmost to make sure that the situation is resolved satisfactorily. Thankyou for your understanding.

It is with great pleasure that the Gaming Club Network in association with COGS can announce that the Hammerhead Show for 2012 will take place on Sunday, the 12th February, 2012.

The venue will be Kelham Hall, just outside of Newark, Nottinghamshire. This offers free and plentiful parking, a café and dining room, a bar area and disabled access.

The 2012 show will offer the following goodies and entertainments:

• 25+ Participation Games (a mix of historical, fantasy and the downright weird!)
• 30+ Traders (a mix of the great and the not so well-known)
• Bring & Buy (forms will be available online)
• A £300 Prize Draw
• A limited edition bag for the first 600 visitors, with the following items; a unique free figure (designed by Mantic for Warpath) and your first Draw Ticket.
• A Seminar (meet the luminaries of the Hobby)
• A hands-on Painting Class

As part of the frenzy of games on offer, Warlord will present Black Powder and Hail Caesar, while adjacent to them Mantic will offer Kings of War and the new Warpath Beta. But also on hand to offer advice and tips will be their respective designers, Rick Priestley and Alessio Cavatore who will also be giving seminars during the show.

As ever Draw tickets are not purchased but earned. As well as picking a ticket up at the door, for every game you play you will gain another Draw ticket. At 3.15pm we present awards for the best games and make the Grand Draw. Winners will gain Vouchers to spend with the Traders on site either at this Hammerhead or the next (for which they gain free entry).

So brush the snow from your hair, unleash your inner child and throw yourself in for a good old time…and you might find the odd bargain too!
