I've just added the day-long cogs "bashes" to the meetings dates pages. These will all be held at Maelstrom games. Please ask one of the commitee members for more info.

Another year and another Hammerhead show has been and gone, where does the time go! The show was good in fact it was very good, judging by the feedback we got from attendees at the show it was perhaps our best show to date. The whole day had a really good vibe and the show was 'buzzing' all day long, right up to the end of the day. The majority of traders reported good turn over and that they had really enjoyed the show, which is always good to hear.

The new show brochure went down a storm, and was a huge success, we had lots of positive feedback for that. Fortunately the weather, although a bit damp and chilly in the morning was surprisingly good on the day, although the forecast had not been so good, however it was not overly cold and there was no ice thankfully. We were very slightly down on attendance compared to the 2011 show, around 25 less through the door this year, we had expected a higher turn out to be honest but when you factor in the bad weather all the forecasts had predicted for the weekend its perhaps not surprising that peopled didn't want to venture out.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the traders, the clubs and gamers for putting on some absolutely cracking games for us, of course, all the attendees for making Hammerhead 2012 a great success, and of course thanks to all our stewards and staff for all their hard work. Without their dedication we would not be able to run the show.

For to various reasons, but mostly the expense of the current venue and reduced member attendance, from 9th January 2012 COGS will be meeting at a new venue. This will NOT be the Winding Wheel as previously advertised, but will be the Parish Centre at Stonegravels.
