COGS the Club

Chesterfield Open Gaming Society has been open to all Gamers whether beginner or veteran since December 1996.

The General club meets every Monday (except Bank Holidays) on the first floor of Chesterfield Market Hall. Entry is via the side door to the left of the main Market entrance.

Opening Times are from 7pm to 10pm.

In addition we host an Adult night (16+) every other Wednesday at The Parish Centre, Stonegravels, 91, Sheffield Road, Chesterfield, S41 7JH.

Games played vary considerably

There is as would be expected from a GCN member, a strong Games Workshop presence, particularly with the Warhammer 40K and Lord of the Rings games.

Clix players will also find kindred spirits, with both Mechwar and Heroclix being popular choices along with the strangely addictive Horror-clix.

But we also have a large and growing Historical section and on both days, there are usually spare seats for board-games.

The Market Hall does have a lift available for those who are unable to use the stairs. However this entry is on the other side of the building and has to be kept locked for purposes of security. Should visitors require the use of the lift they should contact Tony at awb1@btinternet.comnot less than a day before.
